Swisscham Hungary conference on dual education: „Experiences and Perspectives"

On 5 April 2016 Swisscham Hungary organized a conference on the topic of dual education in Hungary. Several Swiss companies are taking part in the reform of professional education and had the opportunity to exchange their experiences with other decision makers.

In the beginning of the conference, Dr. László Odrobina, Deputy Secretary of State of the Ministry for National Economy and Adam Szigeti of the Ministry for Human Capacities explained the Hungarian Model of dual education. Deputy Secretary of State Odrobina said that his Ministry would further count on the cooperation and support of the bilateral chambers.

In the following discussion, representatives of Global Players, SMEs and small businesses talked about the practical side of the system. Overall the companies were pleased about the fact that the introduction of the dual education is following the needs of the economy. However, they had some concrete ideas for further improvement.

In his presentation, Ambassador Paroz gave an overview of the Swiss model of education in which the dual education is fully integrated. The success of the Swiss model is based on the very close cooperation between the authorities and the private sector. The full integration and the permeability are key factors for the good acceptance of the system among the Swiss population.
