The Swiss Vocational Education Training (VET) Initiative India was launched on the occasion of the 60th anniversary celebrations of the Indo-Swiss bilateral friendship treaty in 2008. Reflecting a specific demand of Swiss companies in India for qualified workers, it was also a demonstration of Switzerland’s interest in positioning its vocational education and training system internationally. The project is considered success and is being presented to a wider audience of stakeholders and potential partners in Hyderabad.
