The 40th International Bamboo Organ Festival will take place in St Joseph Church, Las Pinas City between Feb. 19 - 27, 8 PM and will feature two concerts of Swiss organist Guy Bovet on Feb. 23 and 24.

Swiss Organist Guy Bovet is one of the most respected artists in the field of pipe organs in general. He keeps a busy schedule of about 60 concerts per year, in Europe, the Americas, Asia and Australia and has recorded more than 50 commercial recordings, most of them on historic organs all over the world. He has been professor of organ at the famous Academy of Basel, at various American and European universities and has taught Spanish organ music at the University of Salamanca in Spain during 20 years. He has been decorated by the Japanese government for his yearly teaching activities on Spanis organ music and received a honorary doctorate from the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland, mainly for his work on the Spanish composer Francisco Correa de Arauxo (1584 - 1654). He is an honorary citizen of the city of Dallas, Texas.
