Swiss Music Night takes a new step to organize the first Taiwan International Cello Festival (TWICF) under the artistic direction of Taiwanese-Swiss cellist Pi-Chin Chien and her husband, Swiss composer Fabian Müller, nominee for OPUS KLASSIK’s Composer of the Year 2024. The eleven-day long Festival includes master classes, workshops and a series of dynamic concerts across Taiwan.
Among the notable participants include Swiss cellist Christian Poltéra and Wen-Sinn Yang of Taiwanese roots. The Switzerland-Taiwan connection is a highlight of the Festival program, featuring works by late Romantic Swiss composer Emile Jaquee and Che-Yi Lee, the two Composers in Residence.
