The training was conducted at the National Centre for State Cadastre, Geodesy and Cartography and addressed specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), the Centre for Hydrometeorological Service of the MES, and the Information Analytical and Resource Centre of the Ministry of Water Resources (MoWR) of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the closing ceremony, representatives of the MES, the MoWR and the Embassy of Switzerland in Uzbekistan awarded participants of the training with Certificates of Completion and handed over a full electronic set of the training materials. The knowledge gained through the training will help specialists of the respective partner organisations to master the Swiss MINERVE software for mudflow forecasting and to maintain a pilot Early Warning System to be installed at Shahimardansay for reduction of water related risks.
