The SDC’s impact
Thanks to the engagement of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), between 2016 and 2018:
- 8.4 million people reached in emergency situations and 1.2 million people assisted with reconstruction,
- 9 million people, over half of them women and girls, gained access to basic education and vocational training,
- 3 million women in childbirth received life-saving professional care,
- 1.4 million smallholder farmers granted access to financial services.
These are just some of the key figures from the final report on the implementation of the Dispatch on Switzerland's International Cooperation 2017–20.
