• Knowledge on environmentally-sound shelter and settlement responses and innovations is curated and shared, filling knowledge gaps where they exist (Knowledge)
• Capacity of country-level clusters to deliver greener humanitarian responses is enhanced, through the provision of localised environmental information and decision-making support tools (Cluster Capacity)

Resultados previstos:  

• 10 case studies of greener shelter interventions and innovations
• The Environment Community of Practice page of the GSC website is restructured to improve the knowledge management of environmental resources
• Series of learning events of the Environment, Recovery and Technical Communities of Practice
• 10 country-cluster receive technical support to operationalise environmental country profiles for shelter and settlement response
• 5 new environmental country profiles for shelter and settlement response
• Piloting and roll-out of Essential Household Items/Non-Food Items Score Card
• Environmental Addendum to the Settlements Approach Guidance

Resultados de las fases anteriores:   Over successive years, the GSC has been able to advance a number of initiatives to address the environmental challenges facing the sector i.e. an active Environment Community of Practice (ECOP). Since early 2022, the GSC has a three person “Green Team” dedicated to this work and this project builds on the progress made by the GSC Green Team and the ECOP over the past decade and contributes to the strategic environmental approach of the GSC.
