Swisscontact veut élargir son rôle en tant que moteur de la promotion du secteur privé dans les pays en développement. A cette fin, Swisscontact repose son programme sur les axes d’intervention suivants : formation professionnelle et renforcement des capacités, promotion des petites et moyennes entreprises, facilitation de l’accès aux services financiers et promotion de l’utilisation efficace des ressources.

Contexte

Les phénomènes globaux tels que migration, fragilité et gouvernance doivent être considérés de façon holistique. Dans notre monde globalisé les grandes tendances sont inter-reliées : consommation en augmentation, inégale utilisation et distribution des ressources, pression sur l’environnement, changement climatique, augmentation des disparités économiques, volatilité sociale, fragilité politique et chômage s’influencent réciproquement et sont causes de conflits, migrations et pauvreté.

Objectifs

Swisscontact soutient le développement économique, social et écologique en aidant la population dans leur intégration réussie dans la vie économique locale.

Effets à moyen terme
  • Widespread improvements in livelihoods of youth/adults and businesses, measured in terms of increase of at least one asset dimension (income and employment).
  • Enterprises, farms, households and communities are able to apply climate smart solutions and preserve the environment.

Clarification of entrepreneurship promotion models and best practices will lead to an improved understanding and realization of entrepreneurship promotion activities on project implementation.

Résultats

Principaux résultats antérieurs:  

The Swisscontact program has reached more than 216’000 new direct beneficiaries (47% women) and has created almost 4’280 jobs (44% women) since the start of the new phase in 2013. Futhermore, the projects have trained 2500 teachers, coaches or instructors (42% women) and reached around 30’000 people through door-to-door awareness campaigns and another 2,5 millions through media channels. 97’000 beneficiaries reported an additional net income per year of CHF 527 on average. With regards to the employement rate, the results showed an average employment rate of 70% of graduates by the end of 2015. In the field of resource efficiency, a total of 27’430 tons of CO2 equivalent was reduced and recyclables were treated and sold for more than 1 million USD.

Case study and learning workshop with SDC:  systemic change on the experiences of the Swisscontact “Eco communities in Bolivia ” project in Bolivia and the SDC Alliances Lesser Caucasus Programme in Georgia.
