Bilateral relations Switzerland–Guinea-Bissau

Relations between Switzerland and Guinea-Bissau are good but limited.

Key aspects of diplomatic relations

Switzerland has defined a strategy for sub-Saharan Africa for the period 2021–24.

Until 2002, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) supported Guinea-Bissau in the sustainable use of natural resources and provided humanitarian aid in particular during the 1998 civil war.

Guinea-Bissau does not have a permanent representation in Switzerland. The Swiss embassy in Dakar (Senegal) is accredited to the Republic of Guinea-Bissau.
