ALB: Leave No One Behind

Albania continues to advance its social services and inclusion reforms, with growing emphasis on inclusive, locally delivered support for vulnerable and marginalized groups. The Leave No One Behind, LNOB, project concluding phase consolidates local partners’ capacities to sustain and use LNOB-supported systems, while advancing policy, financial, and operational frameworks for expanding social service delivery across the country.


Global Fund Core Contribution 2026-2028

Based in Geneva, the Global Fund is the largest multilateral provider of global health grants in low- and middle-income countries. It aims to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, and has saved 65 million lives since 2002, reducing the combined mortality of these three diseases by 61%. Amid global crises and severe cuts to global health funding, renewed international support is vital to protect these gains, foster innovation, and strengthen health security.


Energy and Environment Partnership Africa Trust Fund

Switzerland supports the Energy and Environment Partnership Africa Trust Fund to advance clean energy solutions in Zimbabwe. The project provides grants, business development support and investment facilitation to innovative private-sector actors that deliver clean energy services to vulnerable communities. This aligns with Switzerland’s interest to support climate change mitigation and inclusive economic development in Zimbabwe. 


Projet Réponse d’urgence à base communautaire à la menace des engins explosifs dans les régions de Mopti et Tombouctou (PRUCEE-MT)

Le Mali figure parmi les cinq pays d’Afrique les plus exposés aux incidents liés aux engins explosifs De janvier à juillet 2025, OCHA a recensé 216 incidents, entravant gravement l’acheminement de l’aide humanitaire, surtout au centre et au nord. Les femmes, les enfants et les personnes déplacées en sont les premières victimes. Face à cette menace croissante, l’appui de la Suisse vise à renforcer la résilience communautaire par une réponse coordonnée, inclusive et durable.


SSD, Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP): Community-based Protection and Peacebuilding

The intervention strengthens protection of civilians and civic space in South Sudan by empowering human rights defenders, journalists, and community protection teams to prevent violence and defend fundamental freedoms. Its focus is on skills building, direct protection, and coordinated advocacy. By progressively localising capacities and reinforcing national networks, the project, implemented by Nonviolent Peaceforce, pursues sustainability and contributes to peace and resilience in a fragile and volatile context.


IFRC Balkan Migration Route

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies provides humanitarian assistance and protection to highly vulnerable migrants along the Balkan route. It also enables national Red Cross societies to advocate with the national governments about their responsibilities and the need for migration governance frameworks aligned with international standards. The programme thus contributes to the protection of the human rights of migrants along the Balkan route. 


Global: IFRC, Nature-based Solutions in humanitarian contexts

01.11.2025 - 31.10.2028

The IFRC network and partners will increase their capability to implement locally-led Nature-based Solutions in humanitarian contexts to reduce climate and environment related risks as well as impact of natural disasters while supporting the resilience, lives and livelihoods of crisis affected people through capacity building, evidence creation, knowledge sharing and fostering collaboration.


Hardest to Reach Expansion Fund (H2R)

The Hardest to Reach Expansion Fund is an "impact first" investment fund aiming to raise USD 180 million from public and private investors to provide concessional loans to finance the operaitons of manufacturers and last-mile distributions of Solar Home Systems and Minigrids in 16 Least-Developped Countries in Sub-Saharan Africa (50% of which are SDC priority countries). By investing into the first-loss share class of this fund, Switzerland de-risks other investors and mobilizes additional capital towards achieving SDGs 7&13, contributing to providing 54 million people in LDCs with clean, off-grid solar energy products.


Supporting Tsunami, Disaster and Climate Preparedness in the Asia-Pacific Region

The Multi-Donor Trust Fund for Tsunami, Disaster and Climate Preparedness of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific strengthens people-centered, multi-hazard early warning systems and disaster preparedness in Asia and the Pacific. The contribution to the Fund aligns with Switzerland’s strategic priorities on climate change and disaster risk reduction, contributing to resilient and inclusive development for vulnerable coastal populations.


Projet d’Engagement Genre : Agir pour l’égalité

01.11.2025 - 31.10.2029

Au Burundi, la mise en oeuvre des politiques de promotion de genre reste limitée, tandis que persistent les discriminations et violences sexuelles et basées sur le genre (VBG). Ce projet vise à promouvoir l’égalité et à éliminer les VBG par des interventions systémiques : (i) mobilisation de l’expertise et des évidences pour les politiques, (ii) appui à des structures de prise en charge intégrée des VBG et (iii) promotion de la budgétisation sensible au genre dans les ministères partenaires.


Partnership for Safeguarding Democratic Integrity

Switzerland together with Sweden will support Armenian civil society actors to safeguard human rights, civic space and democratic progress in a volatile context. The contribution to a coalition of leading civil society organizations aims to ensure that they remain a strong pillar of democratic governance. This support will focus on strengthening civil society interventions to uphold democratic values and practices, as well as enhancing outreach to citizens to promote these values and encourage active civic engagement.


OPT- GAZA: Evacuation of warwounded children and their families from Gaza

20.10.2025 - 31.12.2025

The intervention aims to evacuate 20 war-wounded children from Gaza to Switzerland for medical treatment as well as their family members. The focus is to ensure specialized medical care and protection for the most vulnerable victims of the conflict. Relevance lies in responding to the acute humanitarian crisis and the collapse of Gaza’s health system. The initiative highlights Switzerland’s humanitarian tradition and commitment to international solidarity. In addition to four Federal Departments of the Swiss Confederation, the key partners are: WHO, MSF-Switzerland, Rega, and the Swiss Air Force.
