The Swiss-funded Democratic Society Promotion (DSP) project, implemented by the Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) has launched the call for applications for the diaspora component project grants.

The overall goal of the Democratic Society Promotion (DSP) initiative is to support the development of a democratic society in Kosovo. In the period 2014-2018, besides support for projects implemented through Kosovo-based organizations, DSP will offer support also for diaspora organizations.

The priority areas of the DSP diaspora component relate to diaspora’s civic and political rights in Kosovo as well as to transfers of ‘know-how’ by Kosovo’s diaspora towards social and economic development of Kosovo. Under this framework, DSP will provide project grants supporting existing and new civic potential among the diaspora.

The applications shall address one of the priority intervention areas below:

  • Diaspora media and civil society contribute to policy and decision-making processes that reflect diaspora civic and political rights in Kosovo;
  • Initiatives that aim to create sustainable and institutional mechanisms for providing and transferring sectoral know-how between diaspora and Kosovo.

Interested applicants should visit the website of KCSF for more information on application guidelines, application forms and budget templates. http://www.kcsfoundation.org/dsp/?page=2,15
