Cook / Housekeeper
The Embassy of Switzerland in the Kyrgyz Republic is hiring as of 01.03.2026 a Cook / Housekeeper (100% - Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan)
The Cook / Housekeeper is responsible for cooking and housekeeping at the Swiss Residence. He/she collaborates with external support staff.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Planning, shopping, preparing and serving meals for lunches/dinners
- Cleaning of the residence facilities
- Laundry and ironing
- Instructing and guiding external support staff during events
- Reporting of maintenance needs in the residence to Embassy staff
Requirements
- Education: Technical/Vocational Education or higher
- At least three years professional experience in cooking and housekeeping
- Ability to self-organise, prioritise and accept feedback
- Readiness to work flexible hours (incl. evenings)
- Cleanliness, politeness, trustworthiness, communicative, creative
- Fluent in Russian or Kyrgyz, basic knowledge of English. German or French is an asset
