On 26 June 2015, sixty-eight political parties signed the “Code of Conduct for Political Parties and Candidates” in the 2015 general elections. This is the result of a unique participative process among political parties of Myanmar.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Chairman of the Union Election Commission, Chairman of Human Rights Commission, Ambassadors, UN representatives, local civil society organisations, INGOs and numerous media.
The Embassy of Switzerland in Myanmar congratulates the parties for this great achievement, contributing to peaceful elections.
