Human Rights Support Unit (HRSU)

The UNDP project “Justice and Human Rights in Afghanistan” (JHRA), of which SDC has been supporting the Human Rights Support Unit (HRSU) since 2009, expands its outreach in the area of rule of law during its second phase applying a comprehensive human rights based approach. It continues to build up the capacity of duty bearers but focuses more on civil society and linkages with the Afghan Government. SDC supports public participation and legal awareness in addition to HRSU.

Au Bénin, plus de 700'000 enfants de 10-17, restent encore non scolarisés et déscolarisés ; et pourtant l’éducation est reconnue comme droit fondamental dans tous les pays. Dans le Borgou, 54% des enfants de la tranche d'âge scolarisable - estimés à environ 80'000 en 2009 - sont non scolarisés ou déscolarisés ; ce taux est supérieur à la moyenne supposée à 45% pour l'ensemble du pays.

Swiss and Polish research institutions develop and implement joint research activities in the field of health, environment, ICT, renewable energy sources and nanotechnology.
