Provision of CCCM, protection and social cohesion responses to Sudan crisis affected populations in Renk and Manyo Counties, Upper Nile

To respond to the needs of the growing number of refugees and returnees crossing the border into South Sudan due to the ongoing crisis in the Sudan, both in camp and host community settings. The intervention will improve CCCM, WASH2 and protection in Renk town, in the Transit Center (TC) at Renk and in the Reception Centre (RC) in Joda and Manyo.

Fondée en 2010 à Genève, IMPACT Initiatives fournit des données pour guider les décisions humanitaires. Dans cette proposition, IMPACT mène la 6ème évaluation multisectorielle des besoins (MSNA) en RCA, en effectuant des questionnaires auprès des ménages sur l’ensemble du territoire pour identifier les vulnérabilités. L’objectif est d’éclairer la planification de la réponse humanitaire en élaborant le HNO (aperçu des besoins humanitaires) et le HRP (plan de réponse humanitaire).

L’environnement opérationnel étant de plus en plus complexe pour les ONG humanitaires et de développement au Tchad pour des raisons sécuritaires, la DDC soutient l'ouverture d'un bureau d'International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO) afin de fournir une gamme de services essentiels sur les aspects sécuritaires et d’accès, aux ONG internationales et nationales, leur permettant de remplir leurs mandats auprès des populations de l’Est, du Bassin du Lac Tchad et du Sud.
Regional Pediatric Heart Examination and Surgery

This humanitarian aid initiative fosters regional solidarity and friendship between the countries, as Mongolia is well known for its international peace missions, and regional peace and security cooperation. Heart examinations of children with heart defects in DPRK, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan and Mongolia will be carried out. If necessary, children will undergo open heart surgery in Mongolia. The capacity building of cardiologists and medical professionals is an integral part.

UNICEF – Improving drinking water quality in Lebanon

Lebanon’s water sector is at risk of collapse. Therefore Switzerland, in partnership with UNICEF supports the provision of safe water through the public service. The proposed intervention is critical to the water sector and serves as emergency support to the population to avoid impacts of collapsed water systems such as cholera. It also lays the ground for longer-term improved water quality in Lebanon.

The microfinance institution Futuro Mcb, SA currently provides financial services (loans, savings, insurance) to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) mainly in and around Nampula city. Switzerland will continue to support Futuro with a grant for technical assistance that will help the bank to expand its impact by providing financial services to more low-income entrepreneurs in more regions in Northern Mozambique, thus allowing them to enhance their income and create more jobs.

Following a call for international assistance by the MoH Sudan in May 2024 due to escalating healthcare needs, the Emergency Medical Teams Coordination Cell (EMTCC) in Sudan was activated in July 2024. The EMTCC, hosted by the WHO, addresses critical gaps in Sudan's health response by overseeing the deployment and coordination of Emergency Medical Teams (EMTs) across the country. The core purpose of an EMT Coordination Cell is to ensure that the overall response of EMTs (both National and International) best meet the excess healthcare needs that are a result of the emergency.
Global, International Council for Voluntary Agencies, Operation of the Climate and Environment Charter for Humanitarian Organizations’ Secretariat

The Charter Secretariat will enhance institutional capacities of humanitarian organizations on climate and environment and support the implementation of the commitments of the Climate and Environment Charter for Humanitarian Organizations. Therefore, the environmental footprint of humanitarian interventions will be reduced, climate and environmental sustainability facilitated and people’s resilience towards climate and environmental shocks increased.
Trauma Rehabilitation in Ukraine (TRUE)

The Trauma Rehabilitation for Ukraine (TRUE) project strengthens Ukraine’s rehabilitation system to respond to the surge in war-related injuries and long-term disabilities. Primary beneficiaries are waraffected adults and children. Implemented by a Swiss–Ukrainian consortium, TRUE improves governance, rehabilitation service delivery, and the inclusion of persons with disabilities, contributing to Ukraine’s recovery, health reform, while ensuring no one is left behind.

The project contributes to strengthen Tanzania’s public financial system, a central element to cement its economic status. The 3rd phase aims at expanding the mobilization of domestic revenue and improving the government’s expenditure control. It shall strengthen interinstitutional mechanisms for tax data exchange, enhance the audit system, and improve public procurement. At policy level, it seeks to develop an evidence-based and gender responsive fiscal strategy for better public service delivery to benefit the population, especially the poor.
