As the official representation of Switzerland, the Embassy covers all matters concerning diplomatic relations between the two countries. It represents Swiss interests in the areas of political, economic, financial and legal affairs, as well as science, education and culture.

Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Effective from 02.05.2022, the normal entry requirements apply again - as before COVID - to any person entering Switzerland.

In the event of an alert or suspicious case of COVID-19, remain isolated in your home and immediately call the Ministry of Public Health of the Democratic Republic of Congo at one of the following telephone numbers: 101, 109, 110 and WhatsApp +243 8443 4444.

The Travel Advice FDFA (in German, French and Italian) offers travelers basic information for travel preparation by informing on possible risks and certain precautions. They are to be considered as a complementary source of information.

Appointments for short-stay visa applications ( Schengen visa) must be online on our website.

Regarding the filing of long-stay applications (national visa), appointments are made by phone.
