Contesto

For more than four years, the province of Cabo Delgado in northern Mozambique has experienced attacks by armed groups causing over 946’000 people to be internally displaced. Despite the presence of military forces, violence and displacement of people is still ongoing. Continued violence combined with increasing climate shocks, such as cyclones, will continue to lead to further displacement and deterioration of the humanitarian situation.

The internally displaced population (IDP) put a tremendous strain on the already weak education services. Illiteracy is the highest in the country, making emergency education services even more crucial. The affected provinces are economically weak and government and humanitarian actors struggle to respond adequately.

Obiettivi Vulnerable boys and girls in Cabo Delgado benefit from a safe, protective and inclusive educational environment that integrates conflict and disaster risk reduction and prevention.
Gruppi target
