The focus of this project is to promote ‘pro-poor’ private sector growth by targeting specific niches in investment and trade promotion, as well as reinforcing the dynamics of the rural and local economy as an important engine for a broad based growth. It aims to stimulate growth that will raise the income of the poor by providing both increased employment and improved and expanding market opportunities for small and medium enterprise (SME) and farming business that are operated by poor women and men.
