In view of this most recent attack and the events of recent weeks, the FDFA calls on all parties to continue their efforts to maintain stability and to refrain from any measures, provocations or acts of violence that could endanger the efforts to bring about a just and lasting peace on the basis of a negotiated two-state solution. The FDFA reaffirms the appeal it made last week for Israelis and Palestinians to commit themselves together to peace and security for the affected populations and to work with the international community for the resumption of peace negotiations.
