Pakistan and Switzerland may seem like worlds apart, but they share a number of features, not least beautiful landscapes, good food and friendly people. Another shared feature is the diversity that characterizes Pakistan and Switzerland: With all sense of proportion (Switzerland's population is 8 million compared to Pakistan’s 220 million), we are a country with four languages and several religious groups, united by a shared national identity and a will to remain together as a nation, fostered by a political system that stimulates consensus, non-discrimination, tolerance, responsible citizenship, and accountability.
