As the official representation of Switzerland, the Embassy covers all matters concerning diplomatic relations between the two countries. It represents Swiss interests in the areas of political, economic, financial and legal affairs, as well as science, education and culture.
COVID-19 (Coronavirus) – information
From May 31, 2020, the Embassy of Switzerland in Saudi Arabia is open for urgent matters, for Swiss citizens, during normal working hours (Sun-Thu 8:00am-11:30pm) or by phone during working hours (Sun-Wed 7:30-16:30, Thu 7:30-14:00). On 18 March 2020, the Federal Council decided that no Schengen visa or national visa would be issued to third-country nationals until 15 June 2020. No visa application can therefore be accepted at this time.

As of April 2014, residents of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who wish to travel to Switzerland have to apply for their Schengen visa at the outsourcing company VFS Global.
Please note that applicants residing in Yemen must submit their visa applications in person at the Swiss Embassy in Riyadh or Amman.
