The Swiss Federal Office of Public Health FOPH informs with regard to the new Coronavirus and publishes recommendations for travelers accordingly.
1. Travelling to Switzerland: quarantine of 10 days duration on travelers arriving from Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania
Travelers departing from the Nordic and Baltic countries are subject to normal entry requirements. Detailed information on this subject is published on the website of the Swiss State Secretariat for Migration SEM.
No quarantine on travelers (regardless of nationality) arriving from Denmark, Iceland, Finland and Norway is required if they have been staying in one of these countries during the last 10 days.
A quarantine on travelers (regardless of nationality) arriving from Lithuania and Sweden is required.
Starting 1 February 2021 a quarantine on travelers (regardless of nationality) arriving from Estonia and Latvia is also required.
Exempt from quarantine requirement are persons referred to Art. 4 of the COVID-19 Ordinance on International Passenger Transport Measures.
No quarantine is required for travelers transiting Switzerland (Art. 4, letter f).
No Covid-19 test is required to enter or transit in Switzerland.
