Swiss film, Azor, directed by Andreas FONTANA, is making its Asian premiere in the 2021 Taipei Film Festival's International New Talent Competition.
International New Talent Competition is Taiwan’s only international competition aimed at debut and second feature films of new filmmakers. Azor, among 12 nominees, will be judged by the potential of the director's storytelling, grasp of themes and asethetic style. Winners will be announced on 28th September.
Yvan De Wiel, a Swiss banker from Geneva, is going to Argentina in the midst of a dictatorship to replace his partner, the object of the most worrying rumours, who disappeared overnight. Between hushed lounges, swimming pools and gardens under surveillance, a remote duel between two bankers who, despite different methods, are the accomplices of a discreet and merciless form of colonization.
Azor will be screened at the Cinema Taipei Hsin Yi 11.
