Re-Building the Women’s Movement in Afghanistan: Strengthening the Resilience of Afghan Women’s Organizations

To respond to the crackdown on women’s rights and the systematic discrimination and suppression of women and girls from the public sphere, this project aims at supporting UN Women in their work to amplify the voices of Afghan women and girls and push back against their systematic exclusion from public life, with a focus on linking women to markets and economic spaces.


OPT Public Financial Management Improvement (PFMI) Project

01.12.2025 - 31.12.2026

This project strengthens the Palestinian Authority’s financial systems to enhance fiscal stability, transparency, and service delivery. In a context of revenue volatility and limited fiscal space, it supports reforms in budget planning, revenue administration, and procurement – thus supporting a more predictable, accountable public sector. The contribution is part of the Federal Council’s decision from 26 November 2025 to grant CHF 23 million to support the ‘Gaza Peace Plan’ of the United States.


Mental Health Support Programme (MSP) Nepal

The project aims to enhance Nepal’s mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) system for more effective and sustainable service delivery. To meet rising demand, the project will pilot and scale innovative digital approaches in collaboration with public and private partners, ensuring more inclusive and responsive mental health support nationwide. This offers for Switzerland strategic entry points to reinforce social inclusion and human security in a fragile transitional context.


Projet de résilience et de cohésion sociale des communautés hôtes et déplacées (PRECOS)

La région de Tillabéry, au Niger, est exposée à une insécurité persistante qui entraîne des mouvements de populations et exerce une pression accrue sur les services sociaux de base et les ressources. Le projet vise à renforcer la résilience et la cohésion sociale entre les populations déplacées internes (PDI), les personnes réfugiées et les communautés d’accueil. Il soutiendra un programme de résilience intégré.


Tchad-SI Assistance d?urgence WASH

L'accès à l'eau potable dans le Wadi Fira et l'Ennedi Est est très limité pour les réfugiés soudanais et les communautés hôtes, qui souffrent de pénuries et d'infrastructures insufissantes. Cette situation aggrave les risques sanitaires et les tensions autour des ressources. Le projet vise à améliorer durablement l'accès à l'eau potable, à l'assainissement et à l'hygiène pour les populations réfugiées et hôtes, à travers des actions d'urgence, de réhabilitation et de gestion communautaire, afin de garantir des services essentiels.


Tanzania Social Action Fund (TASAF)

In Tanzania, about 43.5% of people live on less than USD 2.15 per day, and 8% live in extreme poverty. Switzerland, together with the World Bank and other partners, is working with the Government of Tanzania to build a stable and financially sustainable social protection system. The programme assists 575,000 poor households with cash transfers, temporary jobs in climate-smart projects, and  training with small business grants, thus reducing extreme poverty and improving livelihoods. 


SSD: Caritas Switzerland, Strengthening Market Actors and Communities (SMAC) in Central and Eastern Equatoria

The  project, implemented by Caritas Switzerland, aims at unlocking the  potential of agriculture by facilitating market driven solutions to enhance productivity, and promote inclusive growth in Central and Eastern Equatoria States of South Sudan. It  targets food value chains (cereal, honey, horticulture) by strengthening producer capacities, promoting enabling policies and facilitating private sector engagement.  


Projet Réponse d’urgence à base communautaire à la menace des engins explosifs dans les régions de Mopti et Tombouctou (PRUCEE-MT)

01.11.2025 - 31.10.2027

Le Mali figure parmi les cinq pays d’Afrique les plus exposés aux incidents liés aux engins explosifs De janvier à juillet 2025, OCHA a recensé 216 incidents, entravant gravement l’acheminement de l’aide humanitaire, surtout au centre et au nord. Les femmes, les enfants et les personnes déplacées en sont les premières victimes. Face à cette menace croissante, l’appui de la Suisse vise à renforcer la résilience communautaire par une réponse coordonnée, inclusive et durable.


SSD, Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP): Community-based Protection and Peacebuilding

The intervention strengthens protection of civilians and civic space in South Sudan by empowering human rights defenders, journalists, and community protection teams to prevent violence and defend fundamental freedoms. Its focus is on skills building, direct protection, and coordinated advocacy. By progressively localising capacities and reinforcing national networks, the project, implemented by Nonviolent Peaceforce, pursues sustainability and contributes to peace and resilience in a fragile and volatile context.


IFRC Balkan Migration Route

01.11.2025 - 31.10.2029

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies provides humanitarian assistance and protection to highly vulnerable migrants along the Balkan route. It also enables national Red Cross societies to advocate with the national governments about their responsibilities and the need for migration governance frameworks aligned with international standards. The programme thus contributes to the protection of the human rights of migrants along the Balkan route. 


Global: IFRC, Nature-based Solutions in humanitarian contexts

01.11.2025 - 31.10.2028

The IFRC network and partners will increase their capability to implement locally-led Nature-based Solutions in humanitarian contexts to reduce climate and environment related risks as well as impact of natural disasters while supporting the resilience, lives and livelihoods of crisis affected people through capacity building, evidence creation, knowledge sharing and fostering collaboration.
