New Paths to Peace: Women, Peace and Security

01.01.2026 - 31.12.2029

Violent conflicts, fragility and militarization are increasing globally, while rights are reversed, civic space is shrinking, and women’s rights organisations are massively defunded. Yet, building peace requires locally rooted approaches. Women and girls, often facing the greatest harm, remain largely excluded from peace efforts, despite strong evidence that their participation leads to more durable peace. PeaceWomen Across the Globe (PWAG) strengthens local initiatives that advance women’s participation, protection and visibility, thereby promoting inclusive and sustainable peace.
