Turquoise Mountain: Rebuilding the Syrian Craft Economy

As Syria works to rebuild its economy, its traditional craft sector offers an opportunity to preserve cultural heritage while supporting livelihoods. Years of conflict and economic hardship have left many artisan businesses struggling to access finance, equipment and markets. Switzerland, in partnership with Turquoise Mountain (TM), is helping artisans overcome these barriers, rebuild viable businesses and reach new markets. The initiative contributes to both the survival of Syria’s craft traditions and its broader socio-economic recovery.
Transparency and Accountability for Serbia Key Reforms (TASK)

The intervention strengthens capacities of independent oversight institutions in promoting integrity, transparency and accountability within the public administration. It contributes to a more effective and accountable local governance. The project also helps to make public institutions more inclusive and reduce discrimination against vulnerable groups by supporting the work of the Equality Protection Commissioner, local ombudspersons and the networks of female and minority police officers.
OCHA - Support to the Yemen Humaniarian Fund (YHF) 2026-2029

Yemen is facing a complex humanitarian crisis, which is being exacerbated by the resent military escalations. Switzerland through the OCHA managed Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) supports vulnerable and conflict affected people with humanitarian aid, protecton and basic services. The YHF is a fast and agile funding mechanism aimed at responding to newly emerging and critically underfunded needs. It is working with a broad range of local and international partners in all parts of Yemen and is a critical enabler of humanitarian reform efforts.
WISE PLUS: Water and Irrigation Services Enhancement for Climate Resilience

Switzerland will support Armenia’s Water and Irrigation Services Enhancement Program through the World Bank’s Global Water Security and Sanitation Partnership Trust Fund. The contribution will strengthen water sector reforms, climate-resilient water resources management, groundwater monitoring, evidence-based planning, institutional capacity and the financial sustainability of water services. It will help address growing water stress and climate risks while advancing Armenia’s priorities for sustainable water governance and resilience.
Integrated Support to UNHCR’s Education and Livelihoods Interventions for Afghan Refugees in Iran

Overall objective: Afghan refugees and vulnerable host communities in Iran improve their resilience, self-reliance and access to essential services. The project strengthens access to quality education, expands market-oriented livelihood opportunities, and extends protection services for the most vulnerable, supporting national systems that have hosted refugees for decades and reinforcing Iran’s refugee-inclusive approach.
Grain Harvest Protection: rapid support to farmers with temporal storage

Switzerland’s contribution will support Ukraine to roll out a rapid temporal grain storage provision at regional and national levels through the established FAO platform. The project will support the Government of Ukraine's urgent call for assistance and priority to provide assistance to crop producers to store their 2026 harvest. This will increase the feasibility of Ukraine’s export but also will help to avoid the disruption threatening food availability and affordability around the world.
Tchad - Cool by Design

Cool by Desigh vise à tester des solutions d'habitat semi-durables adaptées aux fortes chaleurs dans l'Est du Tchad. A travers le Habitat Laboratory de Farchana et Arkoum, réfugiés, communautés hôtes et artisans locaux participeront à leur conception et expérimentation. La contribution suisse permettra d'y intégrer la cuisson propre, afin de réduire les risques de protection et la pression environnementale, tout en générant des solutions réplicables bénéficiant plus largement à la réponse humanitaire.

Strengthening Resilience through Disaster Risk Reduction in Tajikistan and Central Asia (SRDT)

This project will strengthen the ability of national and local authorities to reduce disaster risks, improve access to reliable data, and strengthen regional cooperation. Albania: Bashki te Forta /Strong Municipality

Switzerland contributes to Albania’s efforts to strengthen effective, evidence-based, and inclusive governance at local level in the context of EU accession. Formation professionnelle et Renforcement de Capacités pour I’Emploi (FORCE), phase 2

La Suisse soutient le gouvernement béninois, les acteurs publics et privés ainsi que les communes dans le développement d’un dispositif de formation professionnelle duale. Le programme FORCE vise à améliorer l’employabilité de 20 000 jeunes femmes et hommes dans le nord du Bénin. Son objectif est de favoriser leur insertion socio-professionnelle durable dans les secteurs de l’artisanat et de l’agriculture, tout en contribuant à la réduction des facteurs de vulnérabilité à l’extrémisme violent.
