'A Walk on the Wild Side: Artworks from the Collection de l’Art Brut and Elsewhere', an exhibition of Art Brut, co-presented by the Power Station of Art in Shanghai, and the Collection de l’Art Brut in Lausanne, officially opened at the Power Station of Art on 11 July. The exhibition is open to the public from 12 July until 12 October and brings together no fewer than 233 exhibits by 49 artists from the Collection de l’Art Brut, as well as pieces by four self-taught Chinese artists.
This exhibition also features substantial archival materials, documents, and footage tracing the history of the Collection de l’Art Brut in Lausanne, Switzerland, since its founding in 1976. It is the first comprehensive research-based presentation of the development of Art Brut in China.
The opening reception was supported by the Consulate General of Switzerland in Shanghai.
