Switzerland launches Fund for MSMEs

The Embassy of Switzerland launched the Daraja Impact Fund as part of its Innovation for Social Change project. Switzerland will contribute CHF 10 million (TZS 26.4 billion) over a period of five years to support the growth of small and medium-sized, and impact-driven enterprises to improve livelihoods of Tanzanians, particularly youth and women. The Daraja Impact Fund will be implemented and managed by Small Enterprise Assistance Funds (SEAF) in partnership with AlphaMundi Foundation (AMF).

Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships 2023-24

Ambassador meets with Ministers in Dodoma

On 30 May and 1 June, a delegation from the Embassy led by the Ambassador of Switzerland to Tanzania Didier Chassot went to Dodoma for high level bilateral meetings with several key partner ministries. The aim of the meetings was to address key sectorial policy issues and discuss main operational and implementation challenges. The delegation met with the Ministers of Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups; Education, Science and Technology; Health; and Natural Resources and Tourism.
