The third phase of the Strengthening Business Membership Organisations (BMO) project in Ukraine promotes a strong BMO ecosystem to enhance the overall resilience and sustainability of the MSME sector.

Contexte

This third phase focuses on sustainability by scaling-up key results of the previous phases, strengthening mechanisms of BMO collaboration, and institutionalisation of public-private dialogue. To that end, the project will work with BMO platforms to (i) foster alignment and integration of BMOs, (ii) strengthen BMO organisational capacities and financial sustainability, and (iii) enhance trust in and effectiveness of public-private dialogue.

Objectifs

The overall objective of the project is to enhance the resilience and competitiveness of Ukrainian MSMEs, contributing to inclusive economic recovery and sustainable development in Ukraine. Over a period of four years, the project will contribute to: (i) fostering the alignment and integration of the BMO sector to ensure effective representation of the MSME sector, (ii) strengthening BMO capacities to achieve organizational viability and financial sustainability, supporting the growth and development of MSMEs, and (iii) enhancing trust in and effectiveness of public-private dialogue, enabling more effective MSME policies

Increased number of business development solutions and cross-sectoral responses established or facilitated by partner BMO platforms

Increased number of laws and sub-laws (laws/sub-laws), consulted with partner BMO platforms, submitted to respective authorities for adoption

Increased number of BMOs that established partnerships linkages and created networks and coalitions with other relevant organizations

Share of women-led MSMEs among the members of partner BMOs, excluding BMOs representing exclusively women entrepreneurs increased by 70%

Share of BMO members paying fees in partner BMOs increased by 31%

Share of BMO members acquiring BDS from partner BMOs increased by 53%

Share of BMO members satisfied with BDS provided/facilitated by partner BMOs increased by 55%

16 Industry-based standards developed by partner BMOs on the principles of self-regulation and implemented by industry-based MSMEs

Share of full members of partner BMOs satisfied with the quality of Public-Private-Dialogue increased by 150%
