The Document was approved by the Presidential Resolution on February 24, 2021 and developed with the technical assistance of SDC and ADB, is an important milestone in the reform of the water sector of Uzbekistan.
It contains a set of priority measures aimed at the implementation of fundamentally new ideas and ways of further development and modernization of the sector, the introduction of market mechanisms, information technologies and the principles of integrated water resources management, as well as strengthening of regional cooperation to ensure the efficient and sustainable use of water resources in Uzbekistan.
