Sustainable development goals make up the new framework for international cooperation and will replace the Millennium Development Goals from the end of 2015.

The Federal Council intends to strengthen the tried-and-tested partnership between governmental and non-governmental stakeholders in order to implement the 2030 Agenda.
Federal support for sustainable development
To support key initiatives by cantons, communes and civil society, the federal government is providing funding in various areas of sustainable development.
