The exhibition ‘Cosmos Archaeology: Exploration in Time and Space’, jointly organized by the Embassy of Switzerland in China, the National Museum of China (NMC ), and the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, with support from the Department of Astronomy and the Academy of Arts & Design at Tsinghua University, was officially unveiled at the NMC on July 2nd. This is the first Swiss exhibition held at the new NMC since its opening and marks a highlight in the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and China.
The exhibition brings together no fewer than 233 exhibits by 49 artists from the Collection de l’Art Brut, as well as pieces by four self-taught Chinese artists. It is the first comprehensive research-based presentation of the development of Art Brut in China.
PORTA CHIUSA is a clarinet trio, including Hans Koch clarinet, Michael Thieke clarinet and Paed Conca clarinet, composition. The Trio has been performing micro tonal contemporary music.

One of the world’s most sought-after flutists from Germany, Emmanuel Pahud will join hands with harpist Marie-Pierre Langlamet, fellow musician at the Berlin Philharmonic, to present a beloved programme dedicated to showcase the beauty of flute and harp in a celestial musical journey. Local renowned flutist Matthew Wu will also appear as a guest performer. The net proceeds from this charity recital will benefit Music Children Foundation, a charitable organisation in Hong Kong striving to provide free training on musical instruments to impoverished children aged below 12.

Foofwa Imobilité will illuminate China with his famous piece "Histoires Condansées", which charts the history of dance through a one-man lecture-performance. Starting with a glimpse of pre-20th century dance, he then outlines the important aspects that shaped the artform over time.

Undergraduate students studying German at colleges, universities and higher education institutions in Hong Kong and Macau now have the opportunity for the first time to demonstrate their language proficiency at the level A1 to B1 in a German Language Olympics for the academic year 2017/2018.

Researchers from Disney Research Zurich, the ETH Zurich Game Technology Center and Hong Kong Baptist University will showcase the latest developments of virtual and augmented reality and make drawings come to life at the public lecture "Augmented Reality, Creativity and the Arts". The Zurich University of the Arts and the start-up Somniacs will present the VR flying experience "Birdly" at a lecture and live demo "A Virtual and Augmented Experience from Zurich" at the Hong Kong Science Museum, where guests can have their dream of flying come true. Birdly creates a vivid full-body experience that makes people instantly forget the mechanics and computer codes behind this spectacular apparatus. The immersive and interactive nature of "Birdly" serves one goal: to enjoy the ultimate freedom of a bird and intuitively explore the skies.
A group of around 80 young talents representing the next generation of artists will gather at Art Next Expo in Hong Kong, the international art hub and a gateway to China. This year, a Swiss artist NGUYEN Sève Favre has been chosen to exhibit her work among the other artists.
