As of July 2020, Switzerland’s engagement with the Swiss community in Laos is reinforced with the presence of a Consular Agency in Vientiane Capital, located at the Swiss Cooperation Office and Consular Agency in Laos.
Furthermore, Switzerland opened an Honorary Consulate in Luang Prabang in August 2022, with Mr. Damien Killer as Honorary Consul.
The Embassy of Switzerland and the Regional Consular Centre in Bangkok
is responsible for Swiss citizens in Laos, with the support of the Swiss
Consular Agency in Laos.

The Embassy of Switzerland in Bangkok and its Regional Consular Center host regular virtual Town Hall meetings #AskTheEmbassy on selected relevant topics for the Swiss Community in the region. During the meetings, the Ambassador, other representatives of our team or special guests and experts invited for the occasion provide useful information and answer questions from Swiss community members in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Malaysia.
