Switzerland trusts that the award delivered today will serve as an inspiration and motivation for other municipalities to improve their performances to the benefit of their citizens. We encourage all municipalities to enable their citizens’ enhanced engagement in public life, for instance through the digitalization of municipal services. Switzerland welcomes the new Government’s plan to institutionalize the Municipal performance grant scheme.
