Digital Art Festival Taipei returns with a 3-week long program from 3rd through 26th November 2023, with a theme entitled “A-Real Engine” at the National Taiwan Science Education Center.
The overall curatorial theme refers to the engine that drives the development of digital culture, particularly in electronic gaming, which has become a driving force in art creation, injecting vitality through hardware and software technology, design thinking, and user-generated content. The prefix "A-" in "A-Real" signifies a clear rejection to distinctions - real v.s unreal and online v.s offline.
Invited by the Festival to propose an experimental short film programme, Swiss Films curated a programme of 8 Swiss experimental short films to be screened 4 times over 2 consecutive weekends on a "L" screen inside the brand new black box theater at the National Taiwan Science Education Center.
