Concert
With the support from Pro Helvetia Shanghai, Swiss Arts Council, an in-situ outreach programme of three days designed by Sonic Amass, first takes the shape of a workshop and develops into a laboratory for sound improvisation during the following days. A team of sound artists and participants will record and collect various objects to be manipulated and transformed into a sound piece and installation in Chai Wan, an area known for its semi-industrial as well as residential character between sea and mountains. A sound metaphor for the plural identities of the daily life in the surroundings of WING—a patchwork of sounds, beings, thoughts and words will be created.

Concert
Geneva Camerata (GECA) will be presenting an uncustomary program compiled by their young and talented music director David Greilsammer, with winner of both the Sibelius and Tchaikovsky Competitions, Viktoria Mullova, a highly regarded violinist of exceptional versatility and musical integrity. The audience will hear her virtuosic technique as well as matchless interpretative subtlety on Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor, Op. 64. This will surely be one of the most exciting concerts of the year, with more originality brought by Jonathan Keren’s composition based on Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, and his orchestral arrangement of Debussy’s Fireworks.
