Yemen Pledging Conference
Project completed
Switzerland is co-hosting with UNOCHA and Sweden a high level pledging conference in Geneva on the 25th April. The goal is to raise awareness and collect substantial funds for the Yemen Humanitarian Response plan 2017. Since the escalation of the conflict in mid-March 2015, Yemen faced enormous levels of humanitarian needs stemming from years of poverty, intermittent conflict and weak rule of law. Two years of war have exacerbated these chronic vulnerabilities, leaving 18.8 million people in need of humanitarian aid.
