Middle East and North Africa Strategy

The MENA region comprises 18 countries, extending south of the Mediterranean Sea from Morocco to Egypt, and east from Yemen through the countries of the Arabian Peninsula to Iran. The Middle East and North Africa Strategy builds on Switzerland's long-standing commitment to conflict prevention, humanitarian aid and development cooperation. At the same time, it identifies opportunities for Swiss businesses, seeks to harness the potential of a well-trained young workforce and promotes digitalisation and new technologies. In light of the renewed conflict in the Middle East, the next edition of this strategy will pay particular attention to the new dynamics at work in this region.
